The fighting the past at night element reminded me of The Dark Knight Returns, especially early on, and the introduction of “Little Shot” reminded me of a couple of scenes from the UK version of Life on Mars. Â That said, the book is not without influences. Plot wise, the past adventures are interspersed throughout giving new fans an idea of who bloodshot was and allowing fans to see just how much has been lost. His script eloquently shows the distress and the quiet desperation of a man who seems to be waiting for the other shoe to drop.
